Stream: Supporting Teaching, Learning and Student Success

At Conestoga College, a team of three faculty and one administrator are leading strategic initiatives to increase the accessibility of high-quality teaching and learning resources for equity and student success. These initiatives meet scholarly output requirements for accrediting bodies such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB) and Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB), as well as the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) signatory commitments. Come and discuss our plan, strategies, and how we can collaborate with you to increase student success in our colleges. Strategies to be shared and discussed are: Free to participate Case Research Development Program (CRDP) based on analysis of real-world problems within organizations to connect with evolving changes in the labour market. Open to the world a free-to-publish and free-to-access Open Access Teaching Case Journal (OATCJ) themed in the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Partnering with students, industry, and faculty to ensure relevant content, equitable, and accessible resources.Developmental supports to build quality digital skills and scholarly research and writing skills for both students and faculty. Free access to publishing platforms, editorial supports, uploads to repositories, meta-data collection, and usage tracking to provide equitable publishing opportunities for students, faculty, and those who might not otherwise have opportunities to publish.Institutionally supported conference attendance for peer review and knowledge dissemination. Development opportunities for those wanting to adopt, adapt, or create open educational resources (OER) for curriculum. How we share our outputs with the world.
