Supporting Student Mental Health by Raising Student Voices (E)

Track: Charting Teaching & Learning

This pandemic has created a major mental health crisis in our students, and it is important for institutions to address it head-on. One of the first steps is ensuring there are wellness programs and resources on campus that are inclusive and diverse, so students have a safe place to talk about hard things.

This session will explore how mental health promotions has changed since COVID-19, and the new ways we have learned to connect now that may campuses have pivoted to a hybrid learning model. We will also explore the role that students have to play in promoting mental wellness and the unique collaborations that are possible with student leaders. Through this, our panelists will also discuss new and innovative programs and resources schools are introducing to support student mental wellbeing both on campus and virtually.
