Humans of ImpAct – CICan ImpAct Social Entrepreneurship Project Working Group (E)

Track: Mapping Sustainability

Humans of ImpAct is an on-line platform (, developed, and curated by students to present compelling digital stories told by students about Social Enterprises in their local communities.

For the past two years, ten institutions of the CICan network have been collaborating to raise the awareness of social enterprise with students and institutions across the country. Humans of Impact is the result of that collaboration producing an online platform available to students and faculty that focuses on the following.

Purpose: to build the capacity of Canadian colleges and students to understand the importance of social enterprises as a vehicle to build more just and equitable societies and their link to the sustainable development goals.

Why: the best knowledge base on social entrepreneurship does not reside inside our institutions, but in our communities inside the amazing social enterprises that make our communities better every day.
