My academic training is in transnational feminisms, social movement learning, Japanese Studies, and social justice pedagogies. I hold a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies. I have worked as an activist and advocate in the transnational women’s rights movement. I currently teach courses at John Abbott College on feminism, anti-racism, and decolonization in the Humanities department and in the Crossroads Indigenous transition program. Together with colleagues from other cegeps and Indigenous educators and students, I am actively involved in the grassroots Intercollegiate Indigenizing Initiatives Network (IIIN).
