Anti-racism Advisor - Reimagine Higher Education, NorQuest College
Benjamin Denga is Anti-racism Advisor in the Reimagine Higher Education initiative at NorQuest College. He leads an interdisciplinary team of instructors and professionals involved in researching, developing and supporting the implementation of tools and strategies for anti-racist curriculum and teaching practices. His work contributes to dismantling racism in higher education and institutionalizing anti-oppressive learning culture and experiences among multicultural learning communities in Canadian post-secondary.
Benjamin's recently completed doctoral research at the University of Alberta critically examines the discrepancies between multi-level policies and experiences of minority students in higher education internationalization contexts in Canada. His recreational interests include trying out new/healthy food recipes, exploring nature and wildlife, and professional soccer.
