Towards an educational region in order to take action more effectively in relation to youth and adults: identifying the effectiveness and sustainability conditions of five initiatives carried out in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean area (F/SI)

May 4, 2020 | 09:30 - 10:30

Location: 512 A-G
Track: Wiring for Student Success

Since 2016, strengthened by the mobilization generated over the past twenty years by stay-in-school initiatives and convinced that education is a key lever in the fight against poverty, social inequality and exclusion, players from all levels of education and areas of activity have been involved in the development of an innovative project aimed at making the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean (SLSJ) area the very first EDUCATIONAL REGION in Quebec (Dumoulin and Tremblay, 2016). The presentation will discuss the spinoffs from five collective projects carried out in each of the MRCs of the SLSJ. It’s a demonstration of how collective intelligence is being used to benefit a community.
