The Archipelago: a hub for academic and psychosocial guidance (F/SI)

April 27, 2022 | 10:00 - 11:00

Location: Argyle A3
Track: Charting Teaching & Learning

Drawing on the synergies linking the Academic Studies Division, the Student Life and Educational Success Division and the Continuing Education Division, the Archipelago (in French, L’Archipel) serves as a hub for academic and psychosocial guidance known for its wide-ranging and integrated vision of success. As a “one-stop-shop” for multi-disciplinary services available under the same roof and in the same online space, the Archipelago seeks to offer appropriate guidance to each college/university attendee during his or her course of studies at Collège Bois-de-Boulogne. The Archipelago also seeks to foster synergies and to ensure that a consistent approach is applied with respect to students by making full use of digital tools and artificial intelligence to identify their specific needs as soon as possible. In time, the Archipelago will become a friendly and reassuring place where students, regardless of their needs or backgrounds, will find all the resources they need to support their academic success and personal well-being. These goals tie in with the underlying objectives of the Quebec government’s twin actions plans targeting academic success and mental health in the realm of higher education.
