Stream Opening – Training students about the world and diversity without travelling: ideas to take our college-level training to an international level (F/SI)

May 4, 2020 | 08:15 - 09:15

Location: 510
Track: Going Global

Based on the principle that cultural diversity must be taken into account when carrying out their educational mission, Cégep Édouard-Montpetit and Cégep de Maisonneuve launched into a challenge: that of promoting openness to the world for their entire student population. But how can international and intercultural dimensions be integrated into college-level training other than through stays abroad? What strategies could be used to facilitate intercultural meetings and foster positive interactions? How can dialogue and collaboration be fostered between the various college sectors with a view to supporting the development of students’ intercultural skills?

The presenters will share concrete means and discuss with participants in order to solicit ideas to bring about a collective thought-process on this theme.
