Miyoskamin : Grounded in Indigenous Innovation (E/SI)

April 26, 2022 | 2:00 - 3:00

Location: Room 109
Track: Steering Innovation

Indigenous people across Canada, have always embodied innovation and tradition. SIIT has developed a Centre for Innovation that will create an ecosystem that supports Indigenous grassroots innovation and entrepreneurship in Saskatchewan. Within the Centre, a new generation of Indigenous changemakers will continue to adapt and combine local traditional knowledge with new ideas to forge a new path for their peoples and communities. SIIT will ensure the lessons learned from ideation to completion will be shared through diverse avenues to have the stories of the triumphs and failures accessible to all of our relations. The Centre for Innovation will also provide testimonials from students and community members on how it has impacted their collective mindsets towards innovation.
