Living miyo wakhotowin (good relations): Bridging Restorative Student Support Services for Indigenous Student Success (E/SI)

April 27, 2021 | 2:15 - 3:00

Track: Governing Excellence

Speaking of our commitments to CICan’s Indigenous Education Protocol and enacting them are two different matters. Reconciliation with the intention of decolonization, in post-secondary policy and practice, can be both challenging and rewarding. This session explores how two polytechnic student support units, Indigenous Strategy and Student Relations, critically and collaboratively examined and advanced policy and practice in the area of student conduct. Through the sharing both the presenters’ and participants’ experiences enacting CICan’s Indigenous Education Protocol within their institutions, participants will leave this session inspired to continue our shared commitments to reconciliation and decolonization in the post-secondary sector.
