Internationalizing Post-Secondary Education (EN/SI)
May 6, 2019 | 11:00 - 12:00
Location: Peller DTrack: Going Global
Imagine being able to offer programming internationally through the use of technology, with the most qualified subject matter expert, regardless of location. This interactive workshop will showcase a practical framework that can be used to internationalize the delivery of curriculum and offer learners an immersive experience without traveling. The presentation will discuss the findings from a pilot project that was completed between two colleges from Canada and China. The Canadian college offered a workshop to Chinese learners on the subjects of western medicine and pharmacology and in return the Chinese college offered a workshop on Chinese medicine to the Canadian learners. Through this model institutions worldwide can create partnerships to increase accessibility of curriculum, thus breaking the boundaries of traditional education.
