Internationalization and Training at Collège de Maisonneuve: Developing International and Intercultural Skills through Extracurricular Activities (F/SI)

May 7, 2019 | 15:30 - 16:15

Location: Peller D
Track: Going Global

How can extracurricular activities contribute to developing international and intercultural skills in students? As part of this communication, we will examine the foundations of an internationalized approach to training by presenting concrete examples of the methods used at Collège de Maisonneuve, and explaining its international and intercultural structure. We will present examples of extracurricular projects carried out in collaboration with the programs and the tools developed (institutional profile, teaching tools, mobility guide, welcome guide, participant training, etc.). We will also discuss the objectives, elements to take into consideration, and the impact on the environment for colleges that wish to undertake similar projects in their institutions. Finally, the presentation will be followed by a discussion with the participants to see how similar initiatives could be developed in other institutions.
