International Project Management in a Post-COVID-19 world (E/SI)

April 27, 2022 | 10:00 - 11:00

Location: Room 603/604
Track: Sailing Globally

International Projects, like many other aspects of life and regular business, were impacted significantly by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel restrictions, lockdowns, connectivity issues, hyper-connectivity exhaustion, the emergence of new institutional priorities and urgencies, challenged international projects implementation. Although the pandemic challenged our resilience and traditional ways to approach international projects, it led us to find new innovative and resourceful ways to undertake international project activities. Despite all the constraints, we communicated and pivoted the situation to keep our partners, college stakeholders, and the institutions themselves engaged. During the session, Humber College┬┤s International Development Institute will outline through TVET-07, a project that was designed and implemented during the pandemic, how management methodologies, operation, and communication strategies can help to overcome project challenges. Participants will have a better understanding of Humber┬┤s approach to the management of International Development projects. They will learn from its learnings, shortcomings, and opportunities to improve PM practices.
