Canadian colleges and institutes support the development and growth of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) by finding innovate solutions to everyday business. Colleges and Institutes collaborative with SMEs through applied research projects to refine and adapt products, services, technologies and process in a range of economic sectors. This session will include a panel of experts sharing information on the current state of the Canadian college and institute applied research landscape and their participation in building applied research capacity with international partner institutions. The panel discussion will conclude with future global applied research opportunities and challenges for Canadian colleges and institutes.
