Growing Together: How Data and Partnerships Will Drive Global Growth in 2021 for International Education (E) (GG.2)Track: Going Global
One year into the COVID-19 pandemic and the international education sector continues to feel the impact of this unprecedented crisis. In 2020, educational institutions, recruitment partners, and students had to react quickly, making decisions and changing processes and procedures without insights or data. Continuing to evolve and adapt based on an ever-changing global situation, we developed what we refer to as our ‘new normal’. But how do we move from this ‘new normal’ to an ‘optimal normal’ in 2021?
During this interactive campfire session, our diverse panel of thought leaders from the education sector, Bow Valley College (Canada) and Monash University (Australia), have partnered with ApplyBoard, leading online international student recruitment platform, to share exclusive international education trends, enrollment statistics, and data collected in 2020. Leaders will share their insights, uncovering future challenges and opportunities available across international borders (Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia) and education sectors (college, university, and private). The session will also discuss the value of collaboration across institutions and sectors.
Leaders will facilitate in-depth discussions on the data and encourage participants to share personal experiences and challenges. Participants will gain perspective on actions that influence student behaviour, how national governments are collecting and using data to support international education, and how international education policies are driving enrollment in Canada, the UK, and Australia. Reimaging an optimal normal, participants are encouraged to use the data presented in this session to develop strategies, partnerships, and action plans to ensure international education thrives in 2021 and beyond.
