Getting Ready for a Digital Tomorrow (E/SI)

May 7, 2019 | 09:45 - 10:30

Location: Peller B
Track: Future Ready

Each and everyone of us are deeply involved in the articulation of the ‘skills for tomorrow’… STEAM, human or soft skills, entrepreneurship, creativity, etc. dominate the conversations about the future of Canada’s post-secondary education. Of course, this is important, as Canada’s employers and employees are increasingly looking for talent and capabilities that meet the changing needs of industry and business. But what about ourselves; those of us in ‘the business of education’? Don’t the same business and digital transformation principles – that so disruptively change the employers’ business landscape – apply to us as well? Join us in this session to collaboratively explore the opportunities of a (digital) transformation of our post-secondary institutions. How will we – together with industry, funding agencies, students, and other stakeholders – create a “platform of innovation” that truly prepares us for the future, and beyond.
