Establishing Innovation and Applied Research Hubs in Kenya During a Global Pandemic (E) (GG.1)

Track: Going Global

In early 2020 George Brown College initiated a project to support the development of Applied Research and Innovation hubs at four Kenyan TVET institutions. We had a well-defined plan, guided by principles of Participatory Action Research, and were keen to exchange and adapt knowledge and best practices with our Kenyan counterpart but then COVID-19 took the world by storm. We reimagined the project to deliver it virtually, which came with a new set of challenges and opportunities. In this session, the project team members will share their experiences and lessons learned to date.
