CICan’s Duty of Care

We are very excited to begin holding events in person, but we recognize that COVID-19 remains a concern and will be taking extra steps to protect everyone attending our annual conference in person.

The wellbeing of our attendees is of the utmost importance and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our Conference. That is why we have adopted preventative measures to reduce as much as possible the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, in accordance with COVID-19 guidance provided by the Nova Scotia Ministry of Health.

As part of these measures, we will request proof of vaccination during the onsite registration process. [Please check with your province for vaccine documentation.]

We are also working closely with all vendors, asking them to adhere to the same protocols as our attendees.

Mask

  • Attendees will be asked to wear a mask at all times.
  • Reusable masks will be provided onsite.
  • You may also bring your own mask.

Hand Sanitizer

  • Individual use hand sanitizer will be provided onsite.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the meeting space.

Personal Accountability Commitment

CICan Conference attendees, event organizers and partners agree to respect the health and safety protocols in place. This includes, but is not limited to: showing proof of vaccination upon arrival, answering a COVID screening questionnaire, wearing a mask at all times when not actively eating or drinking, respecting appropriate physical distancing, and not attending the event if you are experiencing symptoms or have been recently exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19 (and have not yet been cleared by provincial health authorities as non-contagious, in accordance to the appropriate guidelines).

If you have any questions on the event please reach out to the CICan Events Team
